Meet Pause's New Community Manager!
Dear Pause Community,
It is with tremendous joy that we introduce you to Nicole Rush, the new Community Manager with Pause!
Every morning, Rena and I wake up feeling ridiculously lucky that we get to pour our hearts into this work and spend our days in community with you all. We feel such deep potential for this next chapter of Pause and know it will be nourished tenfold by Nicole's open heart, creativity, and beautiful energy.
Without further adieu, meet Nicole. She so looks forward to meeting you and supporting you in the months to come.
With gratitude (bursting at the seams, y'all),
Ryan & Rena
Meet Nicole Rush
Pause Community Manager
Nicole is an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor, currently continuing her journey, to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner. In Ayurveda, we are what we digest. Nicole describes meditation as digestion for the mind. Just as our bodies process and filter out what does not nourish us, our minds must do the same with the sensory input we ingest throughout our busy days. Once we are able to let go of what no longer serves us, we can recognize the true self within, always there to guide us.We all experience great joys and great sorrows, but most of our days are filled with less extraordinary events such as cooking dinner, doing the laundry or walking the dog. Life is threaded in each of those moments and if we pay attention, we will recognize the richness and abundance in the seemingly mundane. We don’t have to wait for a special day to find joy and happiness — it’s available now.
Nicole has always been drawn to spiritual studies, movement and health, and finds inspiration in quiet and simplicity. After almost 20 years of yoga practice, she traveled to Nepal in 2018 to complete her yoga and meditation teacher training in the mountains of Kathmandu. She also holds a Yoga Nidra certification and a Bachelor of Fine Art from Marylhurst University. Outside of wellness practices, Nicole finds joy in poetry, knitting, long walks, French films and her ever-vibrant family.
