About the Offering
Welcome the joy of summer with the deeply nourishing practice of Yin + Yoga Nidra.
Our yin yoga practice offers depth by holding restorative poses for 3-5 minutes using basic props for support. This release of tension and downregulation of the nervous system prepares the body for the practice of Yoga Nidra. Translated as “yogic sleep”, yoga nidra offers access to the space between wake and sleep. It is in this space of consciousness that the body and mind are able to fully relax. A beautiful energetic practice to pause, as we shift seasons and check in with how we want to FEEL in the summer season ahead.
Emily will guide you through a 45-minute yin practice with an optional playlist to complement your at-home experience. You'll then transition to the practice of yoga nidra, in which all you will need to do is follow the sound of her voice.
In this workshop, we will:
- slow down the nervous system
- release physical tension in the body
- clear energetic space
- offer a sense of renewal and restoration for mind and body
Props needed: Bolster or firm pillow, blanket, yoga mat or comfortable space to practice.
